From a miniaturized gas chromatograph prototype developed by CNR-IMM (Institute for Microelectronics) in Bologna, and further advanced through joint work with PROAMBIENTE, the MINI-GC was created—an instrument capable of detecting benzene at extremely low concentrations. The interest of the Bologna-based company Pollution Analytical Equipment then led to a further phase of co-development, resulting in the system’s industrial evolution.
PyxisGC BTEX is the first concrete example of technology transfer by PROAMBIENTE: from CNR research to a market-ready product, later commercialized worldwide by an industrial partner.
