Proambiente consortium is a partnership between public authorities (the National Research Council of Bologna and the University of Ferrara) and private companies (10 SMEs located in the Emilia Romagna region) whose main target consists in performing technology transfer activities in the environmental area.

In particular, Proambiente activities are primarily focused on environmental control and remediation, in a wide range of fields (air, water, soil, cultural heritage, anthropic activities).

These actions are performed by means of advanced and innovative services offered by the consortium, or through the fabrication of sensors, instrumentation and systems suited for environmental monitoring and analysis.

Proambiente staff forms a dedicated and unique R&D group, consisting of 10 researchers with different scientific expertises (engineers, physicists, chemists, marine geologists, agronomists): the consortium activities are carried on by using the laboratories and the personnel's support of five different Institutes of the National Research Council of Bologna (ISAC, IMM, IBIMET, ISMAR, ISOF).

Proambiente is part of the AMBIMAT Technopole and of the High Technology Network Emilia Romagna.
